This photographic series uses a blend of self-portraiture, a warm, pink, color palette, and small collections of intimate items to relay a semi-autobiographical story of womanhood, femininity, and the ties that family has deep within the physical body. By using strong, colored lighting and soft, airy compositions, I comment on my own personal experience in a female body while I simultaneously insert myself into different characters as I contemplate the long lineage of women that brought me into existence and the hardships they endured.
