Katie Harris is a Texas-based multimedia fine artist. Raised in Tomball, Spring, and the many other suburbs of North Houston, she has had a vested interest in the everyday objects and mundane structures of our lives. These symbols are also reinforced by the unique landscape and culture of the south, especially the lush complexities of southeast Texas.
Starting fine arts training very early on in life, she engaged in technical studio training in primary school, and went on to participate in several fine arts events, including a Best In Show placement in the Rodeo Art competition for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She graduated from Tomball High School in 2020 and has since pursued higher education in the fine arts at the University of North Texas. She has been a part of several art exhibitions during her undergraduate career, most recently showing work in the group BFA exhibitions, Presence/Absence, at UNT's College of Visual Arts and Design. She will graduate with a BFA in Studio art with a double concentration in Drawing/Painting and Photography in December 2025.
Katie Harris currently resides in Denton, Texas. She continues to build upon bigger and better ideas and bring a new, unique voice to the fine arts. She is now part of a family fine arts tradition, with her twin sister, Allie Harris, graduating with a BFA in 2D Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her biggest loves are her partner and her cat, Henry.
